Soothing sweet basil and chamomile will help lull you to sleep.
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup dried chamomile
1/4 cup dried sweet basil leaf
Look for small hemp bags in the bulk department, or stitch two 8×5 rectangles together. In a small bowl mix flax seeds with chamomile and sweet basil leaf. Fill the fabric bag.
Chamomile Eye Spray
2-4 chamomile tea bags
Bring two cups of water to a boil. Place 2-4 tea bags into the water. Let steep for 10 to 30 minutes. Take out the bags and let cool. Pour into a a clean re-closeable bottle. To use, apply with a cotton pad over freshly washed skin. Keeps for only one week in the refrigerator.
Lemon and Mint Foot Soak
1 handful of mint
In a basin filled with cool, not cold water, drop in lemon slices and the handful of mint (gently rub the mint between your hands before dropping in the water) Slide your feet into the basin and take a moment and slowly breath in the lemon-mint scent. Soak your feet for at least to minutes. Pat dry and if you like massage in your favorite foot cream.
Lemon and Cornmeal Facial
Your skin feeling a little bit greasy? The lemon extract naturally regulates excess oil production, while the cornmeal softens and buffs away the dead skin that can cause blemishes.
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup cornmeal
In a small bowl mix all the ingredients.
Then gently massage into freshly washed skin in a circular motion. Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, while breathing in the lemony scent. Then splash off with warm water.
Mask keeps for 2-4 days if stored in the frig.
Chocolate Hand scrub
1/2 cup of sugar or try turbinado raw sugar
2 tsp cocoa powder
1/4 sweet almond oil
1 re-useable jar
Mix all of the ingredient and place in the jar. When massaging start with the back of your hands, then apply pressure in the center of each palm. Finish by encircling and gently tugging each finger. Rinse and pat dry.
Scrub keeps for a month if stored in a cool, dry, place.
Red Grapes Mask
6 red grapes (without the seeds)
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbs flour (sweet rice flour} or regular flour if you are not allergic
Mash grapes and oil until smooth; stir in flour until a paste forms. After you have washed and dried your face, smooth on the mask in circular motions. Relax for 5-10 mins then rinse off and pat dry.
Yields one treatment
Watermelons amino acids helps clear pores!
2 tbsp watermelon juice ( take a piece of watermelon in your hands and squeeze over a container)
2 tbsp witch hazel
2 tbsp water
Pour all ingredients in a bottle and chill in the fridge. Dab the toner onto a cotton pad and sweep over clean skin. Keeps for: 5 days in the fridge.

Strawberry Lip Polish
2 tbsp sugar
Crush the strawberry and stir in the sugar. Place the scrub in a small recloseable container. Twice a week massage the scrub over your lips, and with off with a damp tissue.
Keeps for two weeks in the fridge
Pineapple Body scrub
2 cups of turbinado sugar
1 tbsp pineapple juice
1/4 coconut oil
Mix all ingredients together and place in a recloseable jar. In the shower massage a scoop of the scrub over damp skin. Rinse off and pat dry.
Keeps for 2 weeks if stored in a cool, dry place.
Neroli Body oil
1 cup safflower, sunflower, jojoba, sweet almond or grapeseed oil
3-6 drops of Neroli oil
Pour the oils into a bottle with a tight fitting lid. Before bedtime, shake the bottle and massage the oil into your skin.
Keeps indefinitely, if stored in a cool dry place.
Peppermint Foot Spray
4 bags of peppermint tea, hot water, and spray bottle – boil two cups of hot water and let tea bags steep at least 10 mins. pour in a spray bottle and chill in fridge.
Citrus Body Scrub
1 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup grated orange peel, 1/2 cup sunflower or almond oil – mix sugar and grated peel until blended, then drizzle in oil. Stir until sugar is saturated. Place in reclosable jar. In the shower massage 1 scoop over damp skin. Rinse and pat dry.
I packet instant oatmeal, 1/2 cup Epsom salt, 1 tsp vanilla extract – mix all ingredients until fully blended. Pour under a running stream of warm water and soak for at least 10 mins.
What to do with dried orange peels? Toss some orange peels into the cup kindling to start a fire, the oils in orange peels will help the peels catch fire quickly and burn slowly, making them great fire starters. They are also great for getting rid of mosquitos.
